Our 5-day training camps were created for you. Whether you want to get scouted, train like a pro or simply increase your skill level.
Soccer Showcase will provide the following services while you are at the Elite Training Academy:
From Monday to Friday, each day of the course will consist of intensive training sessions that will allow our staff to evaluate your technical, tactical and physical ability. In total you will receive 4 hours of elite coaching every day! Any player who shows outstanding ability will be put forward for further trials at professional football clubs.
On Friday afternoon, you will play in our Showcase Match. This will be a full 90-minute match and will be attended by scouts from professional clubs. Last year we had scouts attending from many clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Southampton, Swansea, Celtic, Wolves, Reading, Charlton, Brentford, QPR, Millwall, Stoke, Burnley, West Brom, Norwich and Bolton.
Leeds University Sports Complex is one of the best football training centre’s in the UK. It cost over £25million to develop and features 10 grass pitches, 20 changing rooms and a FIFA approved 3G astro grass pitch.
Each group of players will have their own UEFA Qualified Head Coach to manage their team. All of our staff members are former professional footballers and all of them have coached at the highest level.
We will provide accommodation at nearby Storthes Hall Student Village for 5 nights. Each player will have his own individual bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Entry to the campus is monitored by security 24 hours a day. Each room has its own fridge allowing you to store drinks and snacks.
In addition to your training on the pitch, you will also attend a Sports Science seminar. This will cover different aspects of what it takes to become a pro footballer. We will study Sports Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Sports Fitness and Physiotherapy.
No need to bring your own kit – we provide everything! A full set of Nike training kit is provided for the duration of the Academy. The Kit Manager will clean this each evening.
We have partnered with “In-Play Analysis” who are one of the UK’s leading football analysis companies. Their team of experts will film the event and analyze the performance of every player. Scouts will then have access to the footage on our website a few days after the event.
On Thursday evening each player will attend a Performance Analysis. At this point the Head Coach will provide a detailed examination on the strengths and weaknesses of each player. This meeting will outline any areas of their performance that may need development, and guidance will be given on how to make these improvements.
The Players Lounge has plenty to entertain you throughout the week. There are multiple big screen TVs screening the latest football from SKY Sports and BT Sport. There is a cinema room where you can stream movies from Netflix and there are other activities such as ping pong, snooker and pool.
The Gaming Centre is a dedicated room filled with PS4 / XBOX consoles and comfortable leather armchairs. This is the perfect place for you and your team mates to come and have a game of FIFA 18 after training.
At the end of the week, there will be an Awards Ceremony at which our coaching staff will announce the Player of the Week from each age group.
The coaching staff will individually evaluate each player. Any player who shows ‘outstanding ability’ will be put forward for further trials at professional football clubs. This is made possible through our close links within the football industry.
